 ﾗﾎﾞっ子が調べてきてくれたアメリカインディアンの言葉 |

ドリトル先生のおはなしに２つのインディアン族が出てきます。
ﾗﾎﾞっ子がしらべてきてくれたものの中に素敵な詩があったので
紹介します。
批判ばかり受けて育った子は非難ばかりします
敵意にみちた中で育った子は誰とでも戦います
ひやかしを受けて育った子ははにかみやになります
ねたみを受けて育った子は悪い事をしているような気持ちに
なります
心が寛大な人の中で育った子はがまん強くなります
はげましを受けて育った子はいつも感謝することを知ります
公明正大な中で育った子は正義感を持ちます
思いやりのある中で育った子は信仰心を持ちます
人に認めてもらえる中で育った子は自分を大事にします
仲間の愛の中で育った子は世界に愛をみつけます
自然と共存していたインディアン。
ドリトル先生の中では暖炉の作り方も知らないし、美味しいケーキなんて食べたことがなく文明的には遅れているように描かれていますが、
こどもというものについてこんなにも深く考察されていたんだと
すると本当に尊敬すべき人々だったんだなあとこの詩からも
教えてもらえました。

2005年3月29日のNHKクローズアップ現代で取り上げられた時に
（皇太子様が愛子様の養育の件でTVで読み上げられブームになった時）
私が原文を知りたくて、ネットで調べた時のものです。
一部のテュータさんで流行って冷蔵庫に貼っとこう！っていう人まで。

themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a
nice place in which to live.

そうですねえ、この、どこかでどこかで聞いたことがあるような
でも記憶が定かではなくすぐ忘れる私は
なんだか素晴らしいいつか目にしたことがあるような、聞いたことがあ
るように感じたのはそれだったのですね。お恥ずかしい。
また原文でみるとこれまたいいですねえ。
これを知ったかぶりに原文でparty通信あたりに乗せましょうかね？！
