”The Westward Odyssey"「西遊記」の発表はもう明日です
”What shall I do?"
「どうすればよかろうか」
”How about inviting Sun Wukong to the Palace of Heaven, and giving him some kind of official work?"
「孫悟空を天宮に招いて、官職をおさずけになってはいかがでしょうか」
”Hmmm. That sounds good.
You, Spirit of Planet Venus, go on this mission."
「それもよかろう。では、金星老人、使者として行くがよい」
”Yes, 用rMajesty."「かしこまりました」
孫悟空の無謀を玉帝に訴え出て、参謀である金星老人が孫悟空の懐柔策を提案します
The Jade Emperor lost his temper and ordered one hundred thousand heavenly troops to be sent to subdue Wukong.
堪忍袋の緒を切った玉帝は、悟空討伐のため十万の大軍をさしむけた。
The Commander –in-Chief was General Li, the ace of the Upper World.
総大将は天上界のエース、李天王である。
李天王の合図に合わせて弓を射るのが難しい。。。
Sun Wukong led his monkey followers and fought to repulse the attack.
孫悟空は子分の猿をひきつれ、これを迎え撃った。
The Mountain of Flowers and Fruit became a battlefield showered with blood.
花果山は血の雨の降る戦場となった。
捕らえられた悟空は 八卦炉に投げ込まれ、迫りくる炎に追い詰められていくが、
風をとりこむ東南の一角にひそんで炎をやりすごす
八卦炉から飛び出した悟空はいよいよ暴れまわる。マイクなし、声をはりあげて叫ぶ！
“Okay! All of you will be killed!
「よし、きさまらは皆殺しだ。
I will take over the Palace of Heaven.
天宮を乗っ取ってやる。
From now on I`m in charge here!”
今日からはおれのものだ」
Wukong cried about loudly and became very violent.
悟空はどなりちらしながら暴れまわる。
No one could stop him.
どうにも手がつけられない。
Whereupon, Buddha, dressed in everyday robes, casualy appeared.
そこへ釈迦如来がふだん着のままふらりとあらわれた。
“You, Wukong!”
「これ、悟空よ」
“I am the Buddha of the Western Paradise.
「わしは西天の釈迦如来じゃ
It is you that must be asked : what are you doing brandishing around such a dangerous thing?”
おまえこそそんな物騒なものを振りまわしてなにをしておるのか」

“Now, how about this?”
では、こうしよう
If you can jump off my palm, I will give you the Palace of Heaven. Agreed?”
わしの手のひらから飛び出すことがでいたら、天宮をおまえにやろうではないか」
“Don`t forget what you just said!”
「いまのことば忘れるな」
Wukong got on the palm of Buddha, turned a somersault, and using the Art of Cloud Riding, flew straight forward.
悟空は釈迦如来の手のひらにのると、もんどりうって筋斗雲の術をつかい、まっしぐらに飛んだ。
“So! This is the end of the world.
「おお、これが世界のはてだな。
I should leave some evidence that I was here, shouldn`t I?”
ひとつ証拠を残していくか」
ここまで英語をしっかり言えるようになると、物語を通すのも楽しくなってきます
さいごまでいくと、初参加の小学1年生2年生に、もういちど宴会シーンのお運び役を指南しました
「あーそれじゃこぼれちゃうよ、大きなお皿を平らに持っているシーンだよ」
そして明日のインフォメーションをして「解散！」
さあ明日！
