I like to exchange many things with people. It means not only people from abroad but also people in my country. The words “international exchange” means a kind of vague thing. But I’ve experienced so many kinds of that not only in LABO’s program but also in whole my life. And now, when I think about all my experiences again, I know that I like to do “international exchange” in virtue of my first stay in the U.S. in LABO’s program. It was when I was 13 years old. It’s no exaggeration ton say that I owe what I am now to that stay. Since those days, I’ve changed my mind. Moreover I’ve been interested in not only “international exchange” but also the language. The language is not so important way to communicate with people. In the other words, there are several more important ways. However, if we have common language, it’s easier to communicate with people. Moreover I can understand themselves or their cultures more. When I stayed with a family, I was good at communicating though I couldn’t speak English. However I’m thinking now that I would have told more what I was thinking. Therefore I majored English and learn their cultures at my high school. Also, I’ve paid attention to my pronunciation when I played theme activity. And I’ve listened LABO’s CD so carefully and so many times. After I enter the university, I belong to an activity called “Hyogen-katudo”. Last year we staged a play and I made almost all English lines.
And now, I’m in France to study French for 5 months. When I come to France and stayed several weeks, I made up my mind to enter this program. Here I see so many different kinds of people, cultures, religions, histories, thoughts, and so on. I’ve never seen some of that. When I think of those, I can also think about myself or my country as well. In Europe, there are many different kinds of people. So I can, and I want to develop myself when I know and think about them.
There are two big reasons why I’m eager to enter this program. First, it’s to develop myself as I said before. I want to see and experience many things practically. After that, I think of those, and then I think I can develop myself. In a certain day in France, I talked about bullfight with French person. My friend said that it was cruel and she didn’t like it. However he, that French person said like this… “There are Spanish lives or their cultures. So you mustn’t judge by its only appearance. See by your own eyes and try to understand them.” Surely I was also thinking that it was cruel and I couldn’t understand them. But I recognized that I didn’t try to understand them. This is just an example what I’ve experienced in France. Through such these things I recognized that I should see and experience more practically. If I do so, I can think and understand new things. Therefore I don’t want to miss a chance to see new things in this program.
In LABO, I’ve participated actively until now. I’ve been a senior mate for 3 times. And now, I participate in much activity. Through that activity I designed many events and I managed them a lot. Then I want to learn how to draw people or how to manage workshops well. I mean I want to get more ability as a kind of a leader. I think I can get it through various experiences. So it’ll good chance to participate in this program. To get more ability, to develop myself, and to display my ability, I really want to be a college leader. Moreover this experience will be useful when I work in a society.
The second reason why I’m eager to enter this program is that I want to work for LABO members who are going abroad next summer. I want develop myself as a college leader; while I want help them to develop themselves or to enjoy. Last year I participated in a college mate activity, and I saw many people who participated in LABO international exchange program. The key people for success in this program are their own selves. However I think the tutor, the office worker and the college leader have a great influence. Also I was influenced by many senior. This is because there have been a lot of members in my classroom who were the college leader. So I’ve seen a lot of their activities. And now, I want to tell what I’ve learned from them to the young members. Aiming to be a better members.
For such a lot of reasons, I really want to be a college leader. I’ll do my best for

success in this program and for my massive stay.
